By taking a mock exam, you’re helping your brain get into gear ready for the real exam. This helps you learn how long it will take to answer a question, and how long you might end up with after answering all 30 questions in order to go back through and check your answers.
The mock exam is based around the same topics as the annual training and exams. This means that when you take a mock exam you quickly identify any topics that you might need to strengthen and do a little more training on.
Everyone learns and revises in different ways, so the mock exam is a great way to put your revision strategies to the test and see if they are paying off before taking the real exam.
It’s only natural that the real exam comes with some pressure, after all if you don’t pass before the deadline then this can affect your ability to continue to test. By taking a mock exam, you’re mimicking the time, pass mark and number of questions to help relieve any pressure and/or anxiety you might be feeling before taking your annual assessment.

The exam has a timeframe of 60 minutes, a pass mark of 80% and a total of 30 questions. By taking a mock exam, you’re getting used to these conditions, so they feel much more natural before heading into the real assessment. You’ll also be able to get used to the style of questions you’re going to be asked.
