Here at MOT Juice, we’re constantly evolving our software to ensure we are always delivering the best products for our members.
We’ve had a very exciting few months adding in updates to the MOT Juice platform. Here’s a quick round-up of what we’ve been up to over the last few months.
Users still using Internet Explorer will no longer have access to MOT Juice. Internet Explorer was discontinued by Microsoft on 15th June 2022, meaning they no longer provide essential updates for the browser. This means anyone still using any version of Internet Explorer is at a high risk of malicious attacks. Internet Explorer also does not support basic MOT Juice system functionality (such as uploading files), so a user’s experience with MOT Juice will be drastically impaired if they continue to use Internet Explorer. For this reason, anyone trying to access their MOT Juice account using an Internet Explorer browser will not have access, and instead be told to continue by using a supported browser such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Microsoft Edge.
We’ve now added headline statistics for your Test Log Analysis page. This shows the stats for:
– Total tests done
– Average test time
– Average vehicle age
– Failure rate
On top of these stats, we’ve also added in the ability to view further details, for example you’ll be able to see your shortest MOT test as well as your longest MOT test each month.
Requested by some of our users, it’s now possible to export a list of all MOT Testers and Site Managers from your MOT Juice account into a spreadsheet format, including their name, user ID, testing location and the date/time they last accessed their MOT Juice account.
To reward our members who introduce MOT Juice to their friends/colleagues in the industry, we have built a referral scheme to reward members with either:
– Exclusive MOT Juice merchandise
– Account credit to redeem towards future invoices
– Plant trees to offset carbon emissions
On top of earning when you refer, you also reward your friend/colleague with a 5% discount when they sign up using your referral code.
You can find out more information about the MOT Juice Referral Scheme from our blog post here.
To allow a better and more informed experience when looking through completed training sessions and TQI reviews, there is now a ‘more info’ button which expands the detail contained within each record. This allows testers to find specific training sessions, and also site managers to quickly review their testers’ training sessions and TQI reviews at a glance.
We have now added the ability to custom order your MOT Test Log filters by dragging and dropping them in the order that you want them to be displayed. This makes it easier for users to organise their test log filters in a way that best suits them.
Requested by some of our national dealership clients, we have now added the ability to upload your own Test Log file as well as your invoice file, for the MOT Juice system to automatically compare and highlight any MOTs completed that have not been invoiced or paid for.
Using our expertise and contacts within the industry, we have acquired hundreds of different equipment manuals and operating instructions and created an online library to make it easier for MOT business owners and testers to locate the manuals for their equipment.
Having access to test equipment manuals is a DVSA requirement for every MOT centre, so it’s important to be able to easily obtain a copy of the manuals, and then keep them readily available for when a VE visits. Using our Equipment Manual Library, you can quickly find the manual you need and upload it to your MOT Juice account for safe keeping and instant download as and when it is needed.
You can take a look through the MOT Juice Equipment Manual Library here.
For those data hungry users, it’s now super quick and simple to analyse the analytics and testing patterns between testers, sites, brands, franchises and more with MOT Juice TQI Analytics.
This new feature makes data easily accessible, in a new visual format and monitor your testing standard patterns meaning it’s easier to catch any anomalies and resolve them before they become an issue.
Most of our development is born from ideas submitted to us by our members. If you have an idea of how the MOT Juice platform can be improved, please feel free to submit your feedback to us at support@motjuice.co.uk.
Since studying IT and design in high school I have always had a passion for designing and building websites and systems. Working for MOT Juice has allowed me to design a lot of the user interface our users see and interact with on a day-to-day basis. My experience includes over 10 years with Photoshop designing websites and system User Interfaces, 12 years of HTML, PHP and CSS coding, 3 years of learning jQuery and 8 years working within the motor industry. In 2021, I started learning Python, Apache, C# and Ruby to add to my coding skillset.
